Random Fun with Jamie
Wellington has decided to rain a lot even though its Summer, Tiwa doesn't approve so she's found a place on the beach and has her shoes off.
She's got a packet of things from Victoria beside her that she probably should look through, but for now, she might be asleep.

His answer lacks any further explanation, however, as he seems to be studying the stretch of sand behind the boulder. He walks left, then right, and eyes the sand for another moment before dropping to his knees and starting to dig.
"As silly as it sounds, that day changed everything."

As he digs, she shifts to watch him, not quite perched on the boulder.

"Other than discovering the end of the universe and catching Ma out? I started having visions."
no subject
Tiwa moves forward to put her toes into the sand.

He laughs, clearly fond of both his mother AND her temper.
"Visions of what's happened. To others. I didn't know that, then. It was all very confusing and I said not a word to anyone."

"I wanted it to myself for awhile, so I could understand it. Or pick it apart. We didn't know about our father yet," he thinks to add.
Somewhat unhelpfully.

Though she's grinning as she says it so its probably more of a compliment.

"Thank you," he grins. "Da-"
His fingers touch glass, and he pauses to pull an old, sandy bottle free.
"Da is the Antichrist."
no subject
"How does that work?"
no subject
How does it work? Adam has no mother. Jamie had asked Lucifer once and received nothing more than an enigmatic smirk.
"Lucifer... made him. Da was supposed to destroy Earth. He chose not to."

That part does make sense and makes Tiwa smile, some stories need to be shifted after all.

Grinning, he wipes the sand off the bottle, pulls out the cork and offers it to her.
"But he must have passed on a little of his old powers, you see."
no subject
She takes the bottle carefully and peers inside it.

She does take a drink though and flushes at the heat of it.

Jamie waits for her reaction, then laughs.
"Bit of a bite, aye?"

"You must have been sneaky if the pirate didn't see you."

His expression changes slightly, losing a little of his default cheer.
"I told you all that so you'd know, lass. We spend much time together and I might see things."
no subject
She looks thoughtful and runs her hand through his hair,
"You can ask, I'm not always good at speaking straight but I try to be true. Just never been good when folks are worrying about me, I'm the one who's supposed to keep them in the now."
no subject
Jamie smiles and runs a hand over her hair in turn.
"I'll worry if it's warranted, but don't you fret about speaking straight with me. Speak how you want to speak and I'll keep up."
no subject
Its easy enough to lean so their foreheads meet and relax against him.
no subject
"I will, then."
Just not now.
Now is nice, and he rather likes enjoying these sorts of moments to the fullest.
