Meeting Guppy

[piwakawaka]

Today Tiwa is looking grown up today and feeling it, she's wearing a long sleeved blouse to cover her tattoo and a swirly flower skirt.

She had to go in front of a class and all her professors have been stressing, you have to look like the adult. Its not that much fun, but the lesson went well and the teachers there seemed to like it.

Now she's stretched out on a couch with her shoes off and a mystery.

"That makes sense."

[guppy_sandhu]

"I'm not going to be able to keep him out of trouble all the time." Guppy says. "So I just try to advise, so that he can learn to make his own decisions."

[piwakawaka]

"He's pretty good at that when he understands how things work."

[guppy_sandhu]

"He is." Guppy says. "But any twelve year old needs guidance."

[piwakawaka]

"Course, and they're both willing to ask for help which is rare."

[guppy_sandhu]

"They are, and I'm glad of that." Guppy says.

"Not sure it'll last into their teens of course."

[piwakawaka]

"You never know."

[guppy_sandhu]

"Well we try and encourage them to open up by having a policy of 'If you've done something you're better off telling us straight than us finding out from someone else'."

[piwakawaka]

"A very good idea."

[guppy_sandhu]

"Though if it doesn't work, we still might not know about it."

[piwakawaka]

"Yeah, that can be tricky."

[guppy_sandhu]

Guppy sips his tea.

"Do you have kids?"

[piwakawaka]

Tiwa blinks at him and gives him a rather extreme headtilt,

"No, just learning about them,"

Also some people would say, she's still rather a kid herself some days.

[guppy_sandhu]

"Sorry, wasn't sure how old you were." Guppy says. "You never know these days."

[piwakawaka]

"I'm about twenty and no worries."

[guppy_sandhu]

"Plenty of twenty year olds with babies in my world. Though most of them aren't teachers."

[piwakawaka]

"Yeah, know a few in mine too. Not really my path."

[guppy_sandhu]

"Well I didn't have Alex until I was nearly thirty." Guppy says.

[piwakawaka]

"Yup, all about what works for you."

[guppy_sandhu]

"Although all my kids were unplanned." Guppy says. "No regrets mind."

[piwakawaka]

"Well, you're at a place where it all fits for you. That's the part that counts."

[guppy_sandhu]

"I love all my kids and make sure they know it." Guppy says. "That's what really counts."

[piwakawaka]

"It is and they're great kids."

[guppy_sandhu]

"Thank you." Guppy says, going slightly red. "I'm glad you think so."
