The door opens onto a patio that's full of a huge family working on a barbeque and other things.

There's a view over a city with a horseshoe harbor and a wind that threatens to blow you over if you walk the wrong way.

It's said softly enough to pass as a whisper, and indeed, he plays it off that way.

"The, ah, sense. It's a very - physical sort of city. Touch, smell, sound, love. The very air is thick."

He smiles over at her, trust apparent in his expression more than anything else.

"Course I am. Now eat up, you're far too skinny."

"Pff. You're skinnier than I am."

But he eats anyway.

"Doesn't matter."

With a good-natured shrug: "If you say so."

She bops his nose with a wedge, "Of course its true."

He grins.

"I never said I didn't believe you."

"No, I was just reminding you."

"That you're always right?"

[piwakawaka]

"About certain things."

"What are you wrong about, then?"

[piwakawaka]

"Boys usually and I'm horrible at knowing when to just be still."

Antoine laughs at that.

"If either gender was able to understand the other, the world would be a better place."

"It would. Also if people just laughed more."

"True. Conversations tend to go awkward faster than they do a humourous bent."

She giggles slightly at him,

"They do and need to work on your English a bit."

"Yes, I know," he says, in a resigned tone of voice.
