The door opens onto a patio that's full of a huge family working on a barbeque and other things.

There's a view over a city with a horseshoe harbor and a wind that threatens to blow you over if you walk the wrong way.

She shrugs and tries to get the last bit of her gelato,

"Usually just friends with me."

"Who am I to assume things?" he asks cheerily, "There are many kinds of love. Each one beautiful in its own right."

"They just don't see me that way is all."

"Why not?"

Witness the slightly frowny-face.

"You're charming, pretty, smart, and a - a slew of other, ah, adjectives. If you told me they were blind or dumb, I might believe that."

"Don't know, just haven't so far and I'm not that pretty not like Meg."

"I couldn't make an honest comparison as I haven't seen Meg, but, pah. You're a lovely girl."

"Just she smiles and boys fall over, but that's not really important. What's your lady like?"

"Like a storm," he replies, smiling and looking down at his feet.

"Passionate, headstrong, overwhelming, but beautiful."

"She sounds like a good match for you."

"We are too alike," he laughs.

"But - ah. Love is love."

She gives him another hug,

"She makes you happy though."

"Yes, she does."

"And you make her happy?"

"I try to."

"That's all you can do. Now you're frowning."

He seems vaguely surprised at this.

"Do you want to see anything else?"

"Whatever else you want to show me."

"Can just walk a bit."

She takes his hand and heads off down the waterfront, when she turns to open a door, the Bar's there,

"You keep yourself safe for me."

Then she ducks a feather into his buttonhole and kisses his cheek as she sends him back.
