piwakawaka: (baking is love)
Tiwa is discussing where she and Matt can take over the kitchen and the rats are moving out of the way. Her plan is fairly simple, everything they'll have will be baked in the end as that gives more time for cleaning afterwards.

Everything isn't prepped but a lot of things are as that means more time for the good parts of cooking. When she's sure that everything's set then she goes to the door to see if she can spot him.
piwakawaka: (thoughtful)
Watching James practice with his new team has been fascinating, this is so clearly where he belongs. The only problem is Tiwa isn't sure where she fits, he's in the changing room so quickly that she doesn't know what to say when someone asks her if she's his girlfriend.

When she gets the question, she manages a quick smile and a lie about just a friend before sitting as high up as she can be without flying.

The team is wonderful and finally seeing what he's meant to be doing when flying, but that ache of what are they is still there.

At the end of the practice, she's not sure where to wait and so sits near the bottom of the stands instead of being with the crowd of girlfriends and wives.
piwakawaka: (listening)
Today Tiwa is looking grown up today and feeling it, she's wearing a long sleeved blouse to cover her tattoo and a swirly flower skirt.

She had to go in front of a class and all her professors have been stressing, you have to look like the adult. Its not that much fun, but the lesson went well and the teachers there seemed to like it.

Now she's stretched out on a couch with her shoes off and a mystery.
piwakawaka: (Wellington)
The door from Milliways opens into the living room and Tiwa pulls Carl through,

"Here you are. There's milk in the fridge, fresh bread and some things in the freezer if you don't want to cook."
piwakawaka: (Default)
Tiwa doesn't remember the last time she was quite this nervous, they're already a something so just going on a date shouldn't make her this jumpy. Bar has provided her with a mug of milo that's meant to be calming, which is kind of working.

She dressed up a little bit but not over the top at least she hopes not, so she has on a blue, twirly skirt with some drawing of gold feathers on it and a simple top that matches.

Make up is odd so she just put on some lip stuff and painted her nails gold, now if he would just arrive, she'd stop feeling so ready to fly off.
piwakawaka: (South Pacific girl)
Wellington has decided to rain a lot even though its Summer, Tiwa doesn't approve so she's found a place on the beach and has her shoes off.

She's got a packet of things from Victoria beside her that she probably should look through, but for now, she might be asleep.
piwakawaka: (up a tree as a girl)
Its one of those days when Tiwa's ever slightly more bird than girl so she's headed up a tree with a grin to him.

You can almost see her tail feathers as she enjoys moving quickly.
piwakawaka: (follow me if you dare)
As they step through the door, Tiwa pulls her light anorak from her pocket and pulls it on as the city is spread out before them,

"Can just leave from here. I'll make sure we don't get in trouble."
piwakawaka: (waiting to pounce)
The key that Bar gave them was twined with leaves and Tiwa followed it to a room with windows that fill almost a full wall.

There's not too much in the space, a simple day bed sits between the windows to catch all the light and a few chairs and one table are about.

Its a place of light and she smiles at him as they enter, "Could almost be in a cloud."
piwakawaka: (small smile)
Tonight was a court night so Tiwa enters in a shimmery, feathery dress that twirls around her as she settles on the couch.

Her shoes didn't even make it into the Bar and she has a shimmer about her that's half magic and half gold glitter.

She hasn't spotted him yet tonight but its hard for her to stay still and her bare feet bump against the fabric.
piwakawaka: (follow me if you dare)
Tiwa looks nervous and excited as she pulls James through the door to her Uncle Manu's which looks out over the water. The house itself isn't huge but it has clearly been constructed and worked on by someone who is good at making things, there are lots of wonderful small touches of carvings and paintings,

"No one else is here but him at the moment. I convinced Mum that she didn't really want to see me getting tattooed and she agreed. So no questions to deal with for now."
piwakawaka: (smirk)
Carl's lucky, its not raining at the moment in Wellington when Tiwa takes him through a door and into Civic Square then says with a grin,

"Haere Mai Te Whanga-nui-a-Tara."
piwakawaka: (Wellington)
Its raining in Wellington, sideways rain as Tiwa takes Ben through the door and grins,

"Come on, should be able to catch the start of their practice."
piwakawaka: (Inside a Wild Thing)
A mage and a vampire did plot to catch a bird and scare a Freehold as friends and allies gather. A rescue sets in motion with swords, madness of many sorts as those of mortal means full of rage and magic fight to destroy the cage.

As everyone starts to appear, a few of the men pull out various objects to focus as the magic grows in the air as the others who are a bit too pale just grin.

The Search

Mar. 22nd, 2009 03:35 pm
piwakawaka: (Tane)
Liam opens the door into a room that's normally used as a practice room for everything from illusion work to sword so the walls are full of a motley of things.

Two people turn towards the door, a young woman with curly red hair and presence beyond her young years who hugs Liam before her eyes go wide at all the people following behind him.

The other is a Maori man who has a bit of Tiwa's laughter in his eyes and face just he towers even above Liam, a few inches above six feet and he has the start of sleeve tattoos on his arms who asks,

"All of them are going to help us?"

(OOC: Don't worry about order to start with, just want everyone to tag in under to create one thread of entering and then start splitting up. So yes, keep going with intros, won't take long, promise.)

A Note

Mar. 20th, 2009 03:54 pm
piwakawaka: (cage)
The day is beautiful, Wellington is on the edge of Fall but today there is still Summer in the air and many crowds around Te Papa. Members of the Court are swirling in and through the crowds, helping everyone see a bit more and gathering what light they can when a university student taps the Count's shoulder,

"I've a message for you."

"Oh, thank you from who?"

"You'll see, here."

A piece of paper sealed with wax is pressed into his hand and then the student is gone in the crowds as he moves to sit and crack the seal, two feathers fall out and he grows pale with the reading.

In a moment, he's up and to the PA system at the information desk saying in a clear and almost shaking voice,

"The wind has shifted."

All heads turn to listen but only a few understand and within moments the Fae are gathered in a hidden room as the note is passed from hand to hand,

"We must find her now before they do anything to her. Comb the city and divine in all ways we can."

Liam is pacing and pacing as he listens, his instinct crying to be gone as he shares a glance with Tane and Meg, they fade to a back wall,

"We can move faster. He'll understand."

He looks up to the Count and gives a quick nod which is seen and then Liam and the others step through one door and he opens another and freezes,

"I.i think I found her Bar."

"I don't see it."

"I do, I'll get us more help." then Liam is through the door.
piwakawaka: (fighter)
When she left the Bar, Tiwa didn't go bird just yet, she could feel a strange sort of Glamour about and being girl was easier. The trail was quiet, no bikers dashing headlong or lost hikers who couldn't find the nice big trail to the top when she found the ball of something.

Carefully she knelt down, it was almost too bright more like a neon light than the warm glow she was used to then someone laughed and the air was suddenly too dense,

"Hello, birdy. No more flying today."

She knows his face and laugh and tries to run and again the air feels solid, hemming her in,

"Oh no, can't have you leaving, much to do with you."

"I'll scream, can't hold me."

Somewhere in her pockets is her poi and she starts spinning and spinning it and starting to chant then she can't breathe, "No tricks though this will make it simpler."

Then the world fades to black as the air in her lungs is stolen.

* * *

The cage is set; beautiful iron full of magic as the floor has been traced with patterns and secrets. He's still laughing slightly when he enters, Tiwa still held in the bubble of air a step or two behind.
