Freeing the Bird
The shortcut through the Dreaming leaves them close to many warehouses and the water in Kaiwharawhara but only one has a palpable feel of magic and about ten young men simply hanging about.
As everyone starts to appear, a few of the men pull out various objects to focus as the magic grows in the air as the others who are a bit too pale just grin.
Teams: 1-Alex, Aiden, the Baron, Hamlet
2-Carl, Ben, James, Peron
Starting things off again and I'm just going to do the James' thread later and make it work.

Re: Second Team
"Still here."
Re: Second Team
He straightens to inspect it again, hands searching for hinges.
"I haven't any idea how to get this blasted thing open."
Re: Second Team
"I'm still in one piece. Not sure, has to be someway since its made by a wizard."
(OOC: For getting it open, simple things will work and let me promise you as the storyteller, try whatever ideas you have.)
Re: Second Team
"I wonder ..."
Lifting his wand, he tells her: "Try to crouch down and get as far back as you can."
Re: Second Team
She nods and crouches down, there's not a lot of extra space but she finds it.
Re: Second Team
Well, not that he knows of anyway.
Then, focusing once more, he says in a clear voice: "Confringo."
He isn't sure whether this will work, but it's worth a shot anyway.
Re: Second Team
She moves to stand up and wobbles since she's just been sitting too long and as she stands up the stray light shows better how much she is hurting. Her face has a nasty bruise on one side, there's a bandage on her neck and on the inside of her forearm there are some bad cold iron wounds.
With a deep breath, she gets over what's left of the cage and just hugs James, its a good way to hide how she's trembling and feeling unsure if she can stand.
Re: Second Team
He's really glad the spell managed to work so easily; it's the first time he's ever really put spells like that to use.
His free hand reaches up to touch her hair before pressing his cheek to the top of her head.
Re: Second Team
"Are you okay, how'd you get here?"
Re: Second Team
"Yeah, I'm okay," he says, noting the strange irony of the question. Shouldn't it be him who asks whether she's all right?
Of course, the bruise in question answers that question for him.
"I met Liam," he says then. "And your brother Tane, too. They came looking for help, so me and a bunch of your mates from the bar came to find you."
Re: Second Team
"Didn't want anyone else to get hurt."
Re: Second Team
He gives her another quick hug.
"And I reckon they'll want to see that you're all right."
Re: Second Team
"Will be, promise."
