Freeing the Bird
The shortcut through the Dreaming leaves them close to many warehouses and the water in Kaiwharawhara but only one has a palpable feel of magic and about ten young men simply hanging about.
As everyone starts to appear, a few of the men pull out various objects to focus as the magic grows in the air as the others who are a bit too pale just grin.
Teams: 1-Alex, Aiden, the Baron, Hamlet
2-Carl, Ben, James, Peron
Starting things off again and I'm just going to do the James' thread later and make it work.

Re: Second Team
There's a sneer in the apprentice's voice as the wind tightens.
Re: Second Team
He watches the apprentice continue to flip through his cards.
"Why do you need her?" he asks, buying some time.
Re: Second Team
The sneer turns into a laugh as the wind shifts to grab some gravel.
Re: Second Team
"Yeah? We'll see."
He points his wand at him, and shouts loud and clear: "Expelliarmus."
Re: Second Team
"Why are you working with them?!"
Re: Second Team
He feels the rush of adrenaline, seeing his spell working successfully.
But mostly, he wants this to be over with so he can find Tiwa.
Re: Second Team
"You're one of us, they're thieves and hoarders!"
Re: Second Team
"I'm not one of you," he spits. "I'd never be one of you."
Thieves? Hoarders? This is the first he's hearing about this.
"What'd they steal from you?"
Re: Second Team
"They just sit on all that power and for what, dreams. No one will miss them."
Re: Second Team
He points his wand back at the Mage.
"You're telling me you don't have any dreams?"
Re: Second Team
He laughs and finally has his cards sorted again and the flame grows higher.
Re: Second Team
"Aguamenti!" he shouts, and a jet of water erupts from the tip of his wand, putting out some of the flames before casting a defensive charm over himself (to protect from the burns).
Re: Second Team
Re: Second Team
O'course, this guy doesn't know what he's doing, so it'll be a little easier for James to claim victory, he thinks.
He shifts his footing so the punch hits the air.
Re: Second Team
Re: Second Team
"Look, if you're not going to tell me where Tiwa is, you're really just getting in the way."
Re: Second Team
Re: Second Team
He notices the smoke and his first thought is a very clear: 'WTF.'
He needs to be there. Something must've happened.
Turning to the cowering mage apprentice, he expertly points his wand towards him and says: "Petrificus Totalus."
Then: "See y'later, mate."
Re: Second Team
Re: Second Team
At the moment, James isn't sure he sees any of the others he'd come to this world with, but the shine does catch his eye.
He moves towards it.
Re: Second Team
Its an elegant and cruel thing with no door and just enough space for her to curl within it.
Re: Second Team
He rushes for the cage, not seeming to notice (or care) whether someone might be in pursuit of him.
"Tiwa?" he calls out.
Re: Second Team
"James?"
There isn't a lot of space but she tries to uncurl slightly and gives a strange little hurt smile.
Re: Second Team
He can feel a tidal wave of relief flood through him as he crouches on his knees towards the cage. He scans it for a doorway or something with which to unlock her.
There's nothing.
"Are you all right?"
Re: Second Team
"Still here."
