Freeing the Bird

The shortcut through the Dreaming leaves them close to many warehouses and the water in Kaiwharawhara but only one has a palpable feel of magic and about ten young men simply hanging about.
As everyone starts to appear, a few of the men pull out various objects to focus as the magic grows in the air as the others who are a bit too pale just grin.
Teams: 1-Alex, Aiden, the Baron, Hamlet
2-Carl, Ben, James, Peron
Starting things off again and I'm just going to do the James' thread later and make it work.

Date: 2009-03-28 04:58 am (UTC)He closes his eyes, and listens. He can hear the laughter. He holsters his gun, and draws his knife. The blade is iron - he didn't know if the metal would do extra damage against anyone not of Tiwa's race, but regardless of what it is made of, the blade is still sharp and can hurt anything vulnerable to torn flesh. He lunges toward the laughter, and thrusts the knife forward hard.
[OOC: I have no objection to relatively minor injuries; nothing life-threatening, but flesh wounds are okay.]

So the charges get placed around the skylight.

They're onto him, which means that it's time to do this the more direct approach.

Don't worry, little bird. We're going to get you out of there.

Date: 2009-03-28 05:37 am (UTC)If, indeed, that's how it even works here, if spells require focus to be maintained. It's the best hope he can think of, though, so he focuses all his effort on twisting the knife.

Date: 2009-03-28 05:48 am (UTC)He reloads, fingers quick and practiced, keeping his attention on the rest of the shadowed figures.
He's really hoping some kind of spell isn't about to fly his way.

Tiwa's tired enough that her voice can't quite be heard but the shift of iron can.
Re: Second Team
Date: 2009-03-28 05:59 am (UTC)He squeezes off two shots and whirls; the fire's got him surrounded.
"Mother of Christ, this better work."
He takes a breath, clutches his hat, and tries to leap over the flames.
Re: Second Team
Date: 2009-03-28 06:01 am (UTC)The iron doesn't bother him and he plants the charges, rigs the detonators to a different frequency and then moves to duck behind a stack of crates to shelter himself from the blast that will comes when he decides to blow the doors.
