Freeing the Bird

The shortcut through the Dreaming leaves them close to many warehouses and the water in Kaiwharawhara but only one has a palpable feel of magic and about ten young men simply hanging about.

As everyone starts to appear, a few of the men pull out various objects to focus as the magic grows in the air as the others who are a bit too pale just grin.

Teams: 1-Alex, Aiden, the Baron, Hamlet
2-Carl, Ben, James, Peron

Starting things off again and I'm just going to do the James' thread later and make it work.

Spotting the new ghoul out of the corner of his eye, Hamlet performs a flèche in the direction of the first, praying to God that he hits.

He does hit but not enough to kill and now both of them turn to attack Hamlet as the light begins to fade in the sky.

A quick coupé lancé is followed by a lunge, as Hamlet tries to keep it so that he is always facing both ghouls.

And he is quite fast but they have an added supernatural edge so one moves around to strike at Hamlet with a lead pipe as the other keeps in front.

Hamlet almost dodges the blow, but is caught by it, stumbling forward and falling to the ground, although he turns this into a quick roll. Back on his feet, he positions himself so that he's facing both ghouls, en garde in a matter of moments.

The pipe is brandished with a laugh,

"Iron will make you nothing but a dream!"

Is yelled before they start to move towards him again.

And the prince?

Laughs.

And, with no other statement or reason, lunges at both the ghouls once more.

These ghouls have seen strange things, their master is not the sanest of vampires but still for a moment they both back away allowing Hamlet through their guards before they can think to attack once more.

Hamlet is quick to take advantage of it, blade literally whistling through the air as he thrusts at one ghoul, aimed straight for the heart, and not waiting to see if the blow was effective before drawing the blade out into a thrust at the other.

Now that ghoul starts to falter because he is not a vampire as the other yells and charges at Hamlet.

Hamlet yells right back, parrying as well as he can before riposting.

Hamlet has speed but the ghoul has supernatural speed and loyalty and will fight every step he can.

That certainly helps the ghoul. Given the fact that he's already technically dead, he is not in the least worried of whatever injuries that the ghouls might inflict upon him, so there is a definite air of nonchalance about his fighting, despite his focus.

The ghoul doesn't have the skill of Hamlet but he keeps pushing, trying to get him away from the warehouse and towards one of the cars.

Try as the ghoul might, Hamlet, if not making progress, will stand his ground.

Finally he yells and punches towards Hamlet's face.

It catches the prince offguard, and he drops like a stone - it'll be a few moments before his senses allow him to get back to his feet.

Which causes the ghoul to laugh and hoist him onto his shoulders, his master will like another one to feed on.

... Unfortunately for the ghoul, Hamlet is still carrying his rapier.

As it happens, the prince has no intention of becoming lunch.

The rapier slips into the ghoul's torso and he yells and squeezes Hamlet,

"He will feast."

Hamlet yells in protest, still thrusting the rapier at the ghoul, a task which is not extremely hard to complete given their proximity.

All the blood loss is starting to hurt and the ghoul yells and tries to slam Hamlet on the ground.

The prince takes the opportunity to get both feet back on the ground, immediately jabbing at the ghoul's arms in an attempt to free himself.

So the ghoul simply grabs tighter as he struggles towards the door, he will show his master what he can do.

And in response? Hamlet drops the rapier, pulls a knife from his belt, and stabs at the ghoul's arms.
