Freeing the Bird

The shortcut through the Dreaming leaves them close to many warehouses and the water in Kaiwharawhara but only one has a palpable feel of magic and about ten young men simply hanging about.
As everyone starts to appear, a few of the men pull out various objects to focus as the magic grows in the air as the others who are a bit too pale just grin.
Teams: 1-Alex, Aiden, the Baron, Hamlet
2-Carl, Ben, James, Peron
Starting things off again and I'm just going to do the James' thread later and make it work.

Re: Second Team
Date: 2009-03-28 04:35 am (UTC)Its almost impossible to see the cage in the shifting light and yet there are moments where it can be seen in a corner far from everything.
Re: Second Team
Date: 2009-03-28 04:45 am (UTC)With the same silent motions, he moves on the fire escape and heads for the roof, to see what sort of skylights or other access points there might be, if any at all.
Re: Second Team

Date: 2009-03-28 04:54 am (UTC)They're linked to a remote detonator - he's got the remote on his person - not a timer, so there won't be any accidental explosions. He works quickly, and silently.

So the charges get placed around the skylight.
Re: Second Team
Date: 2009-03-28 05:02 am (UTC)So the spikes start to grow and form a cage around whomever might dare to sneak in.
Re: Second Team
Date: 2009-03-28 05:13 am (UTC)He grabs the pack and runs, and makes a leap over the shorter edge of the spikes, landing hard on the roof and rolling out of the way.
They're onto him, which means that it's time to do this the more direct approach.

Date: 2009-03-28 05:20 am (UTC)He moves back for the fire escape.
Don't worry, little bird. We're going to get you out of there.

Date: 2009-03-28 05:54 am (UTC)On the lookout for traps.
Re: Second Team
Date: 2009-03-28 05:58 am (UTC)"Perhaps if I cut you once more, they'll leave, bird!"
Tiwa's tired enough that her voice can't quite be heard but the shift of iron can.
Re: Second Team
Date: 2009-03-28 06:01 am (UTC)The iron doesn't bother him and he plants the charges, rigs the detonators to a different frequency and then moves to duck behind a stack of crates to shelter himself from the blast that will comes when he decides to blow the doors.
Re: Second Team
Date: 2009-03-28 06:05 am (UTC)"Do you really think you can take her back?!"
Re: Second Team
Date: 2009-03-28 06:14 am (UTC)Even with the rest of their team at the front of the building, involved in heavy fighting, they're there, and he trusts that some of them will come if he gets himself into too much trouble.
"Go to hell."
Carl jabs the button down, and there is only a sharp whine in the air for half a second before all the charges around the door blow, tearing through the iron and tin and causing the ground to rumble a little bit, dust and smoke kicked up into the air.
He draws his gun and brings it to ready, then moves on the door.
Re: Second Team
Date: 2009-03-29 08:39 pm (UTC)"They've surrounded us!"
Re: Second Team
Date: 2009-03-29 08:45 pm (UTC)Turns his back and leaves the door open.
The dust in the air doesn't bother him a bit as he moves inside, sighting the man easily and pulling the trigger twice. He didn't bother with a silencer, not with the group they had with them, there's no point.

Date: 2009-03-29 09:01 pm (UTC)"No, you have no idea. I was hoping that someone of more power would be sent."
Re: Second Team
Date: 2009-03-29 09:02 pm (UTC)"How do you know I'm not powerful?"

Date: 2009-03-29 09:13 pm (UTC)I believe in you, Piwakawaka. I believe that your friends will get us out of here. I have hope--
There are dark spots at the edge of his vision, and he's still strong but he has to kneel eventually.
I have hope and I believe in you.
