Freeing the Bird

The shortcut through the Dreaming leaves them close to many warehouses and the water in Kaiwharawhara but only one has a palpable feel of magic and about ten young men simply hanging about.

As everyone starts to appear, a few of the men pull out various objects to focus as the magic grows in the air as the others who are a bit too pale just grin.

Teams: 1-Alex, Aiden, the Baron, Hamlet
2-Carl, Ben, James, Peron

Starting things off again and I'm just going to do the James' thread later and make it work.

Aiden takes the bite without being too bothered - it scrapes the armour, but he can deal with that. One hand flashes up to grab the ghoul by the chin, hoist him up, and throw him backwards.

With a good amount of distance between them now, Aiden settles and becomes still, sword raised, as a haze of blue light starts drifting up from him, along with shards of glass from his armour.

The two ghouls try to recover and talk for a moment before charging Aide and the Baron.

"Nice trick, that. Let's finish this, shall we?"

The Baron reaches under his coat and draws an impossibly elegant duelling pistol, aiming it right between the ghoul's eyes. He cocks the hammer and it fires with a thunderous crack.

Aiden nods, hefting his sword and swinging it downwards, sending the glass and energy flowing forward in a blindingly bright wave.

It's aimed at one of the ghouls - the one the Baron isn't shooting at - with intent to incinerate them. Aiden likes the burny-shreddy stuff, he does.

To accompany Aiden's glass and energy, there's a BOOM that shakes the warehouse and all the solitary ghoul who's left turns in fear and runs towards the door.

The Baron, never one to let a fight get away from him, charges after them, brandishing his saber above his head.

Aiden makes a mild, amused noise at the ghoul (it's in fact the first sound he's made since armouring up) and strides after the ghoul and the Baron.

When they enter the warehouse, there is a bit of commotion by the back door, and dust in the air - but the shadows make it easy for someone silent to move without being seen.

There's a crack, a backhanded slap across the face of the ghoul.

"Where do you think you're running to! Stand and fight!"

So the ghoul turns back to the Baron and Aiden.

The Baron is right on top of the creature. Without even sheathing his saber, he grabs him by his jacket front and tosses him aside like he were nothing more than a sack of potatoes.

The real threat is ahead. The Baron has faced down gods and demons. There is nothing here that strikes fear in his heart.

As the Baron throws the ghoul aside, Aiden turns to head towards the ghoul.

The back door gets a brief glance, but Aiden trusts that the Baron can handle himself against whatever bigshot supernatural being is in there.

The vampire grins, entirely feral, and glances at the man in the silly hat with the saber drawn.

He circles. He doesn't have a weapon. He doesn't need one.

Aiden throws his sword towards the ghoul, watching as it arcs around, decapitates it, and spins back into his hand.

With the small fry finished, he turns his attention to the vampire.

The Vampire is currently occupied with Alex on his back but that doesn't mean Aiden couldn't help.
